Facilities

     ZeolCat group possesses a large variety of technical resources, including advanced characterization instruments, and a strong expertise in zeolites synthesis and characterization in the following areas: hydrothermal synthesis (electrical heating or Microwave-assisted), spectroscopic analysis of solids and liquids (Infrared and UV-Vis NIR), thermal analysis (TG-DSC), textural analyses (nitrogen sorption), temperature-programmed TPx analyses (TPR, TPO, TPD, chemisorption, etc.) and Powder X-Ray Diffraction. This includes not only routine characterization techniques but also advanced ones. In light of this technical and scientific expertise, ZeolCat.pt is always seeking in strengthening and expanding collaboration with both academic and industrial partners, from Portugal or abroad.

Thermal analysis
• TG-DSC, TG-DTA, TG analysis. 
• From RT up to 1600 ºC. 
• Oxidative, inert and reducing atmospheres. 
• Determination of water and organic contents. 
• Adsorption-desorption experiments. 
• Muti-cycles experiments (CO₂ calcium-loop, etc.).
Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy
• 4000-400 cm-1 range.
• DTGS and MCT detectors.
• Transmission, ATR and DRIFT analysis.
• In-situ and Operando experiments (high temperature, controlled atmosphere and vacuum).
• Adsorption of probe molecules, including pyridine, NO, deuterated acetonitrile.

UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy
